Playas get DQ victory, retain PCW titles |
|
Saturday night (June
14) The SouthSide Playas and (PCW) Power Championship Wrestling made
their debut in Lexington, NC where the Playas had to defend the
titles against "The Machine" Ken Steel & "Dragon" Scott Lee.
After a heated match the referee awarded the victory to the Playas
by DQ when the challengers were caught with an object that the
Playas had brought into the ring. Both teams brawled their way
to the locker room after the decision was announced. |

Saturday night (June
7) The SouthSide Playas and (PCW) Power Championship Wrestling
returned to Jefferson, NC where the Playas had to defend against the
(DPA) Drama Protection Agency who got a DQ win over the Playas
at the last PCW show. Officials granted the DPA another
shot at the titles but this time the Playas got the pinfall victory
but by questionable means. |
Playas lose EWA Match after restart |

Saturday night (May.
17)The SouthSide Playas returned to (EWA) Empire Wrestling
Association action in Elkin, NC. The Playas challenged for the
EWA Tag Titles against Champion Major Havoc and surprise partner
Tracy Smothers. After several minutes the Playas appeared to
have won the Titles but the referee spotted the illegal object that
the Playas had used and restarted the match. Havoc & Smothers went
on to win the match after the restart. |

Saturday night (May
10) The SouthSide Playas returned to (PCW) Power Championship
Wrestling in Yakinville, NC. The Playas agreed to defend the
PCW Tag Titles against PCW newcomers The Drama Protection Agency
("Big Daddy" Edwards & "The Headliner" Isaac Daniels).
After almost losing the match the Playas hit the referee just to
cause a DQ so they could leave still champions. The DPA were
declared the winners by DQ. |

26) The SouthSide Playas returned to (PCW) Power Championship
Wrestling in Yakinville, NC. The Playas agreed to defend the
PCW Tag Titles against PCW newcomers "The Future" Justin Cross &
The Juicer.
The Playas retained the titles by illegal tactics while the referee
was distracted. |

Saturday night (Apr.
12) The SouthSide Playas returned to (PCW) Power Championship
Wrestling in Jefferson, NC. The Playas signed to defend the
PCW Tag Titles against the former champions The New Varsity Club.
The Playas retained the titles using the ropes for assistants. |

5) The SouthSide Playas returned (BWF) Bruiser Wrestling Federation
action in Blackstone, VA. The Playas signed to defend the BWF
Titles against Simply Perfect (Mike Williams & T.L. Shocker).
The Playas controlled the match and looked to be on their way to
another victory but the referee got in the way and got knocked down,
then out comes Scott Rains who blasted J-Money with a chair allowing
Simply Perfect to get the pinfall and win the BWF Tag Titles from
the Playas. |

Saturday night (Mar.
29) The SouthSide Playas returned to (PCW) Power Championship
Wrestling in Yadkinville, NC. The Playas being top contenders
to the PCW Tag Titles challenged the champions The New Varsity Club
for the titles in a NO DQ Match. The match eventually broke
out into a brawl with the the referee being knocked down, an a chain
coming into the ring, when the smoke cleared a second referee came
in and counted the pinfall for the Playas allowing the Playas to
WIN
the PCW Tag Team Titles from the Varsity Club. |
Playas retain BWF Tag Titles in Farmville, VA |

Saturday night (Mar.
15) The SouthSide Playas returned (BWF) Bruiser Wrestling Federation
action in Farmville, VA. The Playas signed to
defend the BWF Tag Titles against The Sunworshipers. After
several minutes of back-n-forth action
the Playas hit the
"Playa-riza" allowing the Playas to pick up the victory
and retain the titles. |

Thanksgiving
night 2007 The SouthSide Playas returned to Pfafftown, NC
for "The Gathering 4 Gloria". The Playas excepted the challenge
of their old foes Gary "Madd Trucker" Stevens & The Shadow.
The Playas found themselves out-sized by the larger team who
controlled the match from the start, but somehow the Playas found a
way to pull out the victory. After the match the Playas
released this statement: "Tonight was a special night for a wonderful person who loved wrestling in every way, and we were honored to be able to perform at this show in her memory. We had a very difficult match tonight but found a way to win. We're dedicating this victory to her because we know that's the way she would have wanted it. R.I.P. Gloria, we're going to miss you."  |

SouthSide Playas enter into (PBA) Pro Bowler's Association, loaning Playas name to bowlers |
| The SouthSide Playas are expanding yet again, besides being in the entertainment and music business with SouthSide Playas Entertainment this time the Playas enter into the world of Professional Bowling. The Playas have agreed to support (PBA) bowlers Jason Couch & Billy Oatman, who are huge Playa fans. Couch & Oatman are teaming up to take the bowling world over and are going to represent the Playas by become the SouthSide Playas of the (PBA). Best of luck to Oatman & Couch go bowl them over. |

| The SouthSide Playas announced that they are soon to began shooting videos for some off the talent of SouthSide Playas Entertainment who have been doing a great job at the Playas' Club. Look for those videos to start showing up on video channels as soon as they are finished. |
